Abstract Submission

The NAVRMA Conference Committee invites you to participate in the upcoming 2018 NAVRMA conference, which takes place September 6 – 9 in Sacramento, California.

Abstracts may be submitted as a Word file using our Abstract Submission template (download).

Deadline: Abstracts are due June 15. Decisions about acceptance and assignment will by made by July 1.

There will be four scientific oral sessions based on selected abstracts. Posters will be displayed throughout the conference and there will be a formal poster session on Friday night of the conference. Awards for both oral and poster presentations will be given to new/junior investigators.

Please follow these guidelines when submitting an abstract for either poster or oral presentation:

  • Submission of an abstract constitutes a commitment by the author(s) to present, if accepted. Failure to present and register for the meeting will jeopardize future acceptance of abstracts, except in cases of emergency. If an emergency arises and the presenter is unable to attend, he or she must notify NAVRMA in writing prior to the meeting that he or she is withdrawing the abstract or naming a substitute presenter.
  • There is no limit to the number of abstracts an investigator may submit; however, multiple submissions must be completely discrete projects. Abstracts that appear to be different versions of a single study will be rejected.
  • Submitted abstracts will be peer-reviewed and scored by the Program Committee. The highest scoring abstracts will be chosen for oral presentation, unless the submitting author specifically chooses for the abstract to only be considered as a poster.
  • If the abstract is accepted, the presenter will be required to disclose during the presentation any financial interest, arrangement, or affiliation with any commercial organizations that could be perceived as a real or apparent conflict of interest in the context of the presentation subject matter.
  • Expenses associated with the submission and presentation of an abstract are the responsibility of the presenter and may include hotel, travel, and meeting registration.

Abstracts may be submitted as a Word file using our Abstract Submission template (download).
